Brian Tervo
President & CEO
Brian Tervo serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of TIE Commerce Inc where he is responsible for driving company vision, growth and profitability.
Since joining TIE Commerce in 1998, Brian has been a driving force within the company, holding a variety of positions of increasing responsibility including Chief Operating Officer, Director of Sales, and Director of Product Management.
Brian's leadership has been instrumental in streamlining TIE Commerce’s overall operations, allowing him to work very closely with all aspects of the business. Tervo has more than fifteen years of management and industry experience through work at American Medical Response, Cyclone Commerce and DNS Worldwide.
Prior to his career in the electronic commerce industry, Brian was a distinguished eight-year veteran of The United States Army National Guard and a Nationally Certified Paramedic and is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston.
Melinda Powers
Chief Marketing Officer
Melinda Powers is responsible for the strategic positioning of TIE, including global marketing and corporate communications. Melinda brings over 17 years of management experience with over 15 years focused on marketing and business development for technology companies.
Prior to joining TIE, Melinda served as Director of Global Marketing for Invention Machine, a provider of knowledge management software and services that optimize and accelerate the process of innovation. Prior to Invention Machine, Melinda was the US Marketing Manager for Kewill Systems plc, which provided B2B eCommerce and supply chain management solutions to the SMB and enterprise markets. Melinda holds a BA in History and Spanish from Regis College.
Eric Hutchinson
Director of Consulting
Eric Hutchinson serves as the Director of Consulting at TIE Commerce. As Director of Consulting, Eric is responsible for the management of day-to-day operations and performance of all personnel responsible for the delivery of B2B Implementation Services, Product Training, Pre-Sales/Sales Engineering, and Value-Added Network support services.
Eric got his start at TIE Commerce working as a Sales Manager/Sales Executive in 1999. Since joining TIE Commerce, Eric has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility at the company, which include: Sales Executive, Project Rollout Manager and Implementation Projects Manager.
Prior to his experience with TIE Commerce, Eric has worked for a variety of companies within, and independent of, the eCommerce and Technology industries. From 2001-2002, Eric was a Partner at Eclipse Sales Associates, Inc., a startup of an independent sales rep group for various outdoor recreation products. Eric has extensive experience as a Technician, having worked as Lead Rollout Technician for MicroAge / Pinacor, as well as Lead Technician for Consolidated Management Corporation and hails from a broad managerial background, having worked as Production Manager for Humphreys Industrial Products and as General Manager for PreTech Industries.
Eric attended the Babson College—SBA of New England Entrepreneurial Management Program and holds a B.A. in Marketing Communication from the University of New Hampshire.
Melissa Cromwell
Manager of Finance and Administration
Melissa Cromwell is TIE Commerce’s Manager of Finance and Administration and is chartered with overseeing all of TIE Commerce’s financial operations. Melissa has more than 8 years experience in various aspects of the corporate accounting environment including strategic planning, financial reporting, cash and budget management, debt restructuring, taxation, and internal auditing. Melissa holds a B.S. from Merrimack College.
Bob Dixon
Development Manager
Bob Dixon joined TIE Commerce in 2001 and heads the development team for TIE eVision and TIE Integrator, key components of TIE Kinetix. Bob works closely with the product management team to insure that new releases of these products match market and customer expectations.
Bob has over 20 years of experience as a software engineer and manager including positions at St. Paul Software and SPS Commerce. At St. Paul Software, Bob was one of the original developers and architects for spEDI*tran, the precursor of TIE eVision.
Prior to his career as a Software Engineer, Bob taught high school mathematics and was a manager in retail. Bob holds a B.A. in English from Carleton College with extensive course work in Management Information Systems and Software Development from the University of Minnesota.
Jeanne Hentges
Customer Care Manager
Jeanne Hentges is the Customer Care Manager for TIE Commerce and is responsible for all customer contacts. She joins TIE with over 20 years of Call Center Management experience that encompass both sales and service.
Prior to joining TIE, she served as the Director of Contact Centers and Central Station for the Cooperative Response Center, a company providing after-hours and overflow services to rural electric cooperatives nationwide. Jeanne has provided customer service leadership to a variety of businesses, both large and small, and has a strong focus on exceeding customer expectations.
