Web Developer

B2B, B2C, eCommerce websites – Burlington, MA

Seeking (Consultant/Developer) with (5+) years strong web UI development experience in creating dynamic high-scale E-Commerce / B2B / B2C websites.

Position Summary: 
The Web Developer develops & implements client-side technologies, as well as user-facing portions of TIE’s web content syndication solutions.  Candidates will have the ability to design, build, and deploy efficient, event-driven UI features for heavily trafficked websites supporting cross-browser/reseller/website ecosystems.  Applicants should be proactive self-starters with a passion for problem-solving, who bring enthusiasm to their work and thrive in a dynamic, small-company environment.  Work and learn with highly collaborative in-house and external teams to deliver the Customer’s solution.

Essential Job Functions:
Develop and deliver high-quality front end code and “wow”-type functionality based on storyboard / functional designs
Deploy and troubleshoot complex JavaScript modules to a wide variety of websites / browsers
Collaborate with in-house teams to discover / analyze technical process requirements
Perform unit testing / work closely with QA team to support system testing / bug resolution
Mentor junior members of the team on implementation methods
Contribute to business and implementation teams by researching, proving, and delivering new technology and development tools
Communication skills - The right candidate must possess great verbal and written communications skills in order to resolve development issues. You must have the ability to digest complex information and explain the solutions to key stakeholders in plain, understandable language.

Required Skills and Experience:
Candidates will possess strength / proficiency in the following core technologies:

- JavaScript
- AJAX
- JQuery
- JSON
- CSS
- HTML

Proven ability to write complex query strings using SQL or other query languages
Experience with the following technologies a plus:

- Open source portal technologies (DotNetNuke / DRUPAL)
- Adobe (Flash / FLEX / Photoshop / Dreamweaver / etc)

Education:  BA, BS  in CS or related field (or equivalent technical/work experience) required

Other:  Not looking for a resource to be able to design websites.  Rather, qualified candidates will be able to enhance and improve website functionality by implementing various (JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, etc) technologies.
